Brave Bean Coffee Company is honored to be named alongside five other Pittsburgh-area small businesses as the Pittsburgh Pirates' 2026 Going to Bat for Small Business award winners. For the past seven years, the Pittsburgh Pirates have been teaming up with PNC to present this award to outstanding local businesses with community at their center. Through this award, we've received a Pittsburgh Pirates marketing package worth up to $100,000 and a $5,000 grant.

Brave Bean Coffee is more than just a coffee shop or roaster -- we are here to create a movement of respect, camaraderie, and support for veterans. We show our support through monetary donations to veteran non-profits, hosting events to help veterans network and find community, and providing free resources to help better their lives. When you make a purchase at Brave Bean, you can feel good that your dollar is going farther. A great cup of coffee and a great cause... it doesn't get much better than that.

This September, Brave Bean Coffee will be prominently displayed around PNC Park, in commercials alongside Pirates games, and honored during the September 15th game against the Brewers. How fitting -- it's the Roberto Clemente Day game. Help us honor Roberto Clemente, his philanthropic nature, and his time in the Marines during Brave Bean's special night!
